Each rod comes with your choice of color for the silk thread used on the major wraps and trim wraps, and choice tipping style (untipped, single-tipped, or double-tipped). I have more than 50 colors of silk thread available. Wraps can be treated with color preservative before the blank is dipped in varnish to preserve the true shade of the silk, or pre-coated with a coat of varnish, as in the photograph below, which imparts a transparent look in the rod's final finish.
